About Us
Bio
My pediatric expertise comes from wide and varied experiences in many different settings. I have worked with children in nearly every setting:
-
hospitals/acute setting
-
outpatient clinics
-
early intervention programs
-
public and private schools
-
intensive care units

In the past, I held clinical positions at UNC Health Care in the NC Children’s Hospital and in the NC Jaycee Burn Center, and provided early intervention therapy services in the San Francisco Bay Area. These experiences were invaluable and I credit these former jobs as preparing me for future successes.

As the owner of a physical therapy practice, I have expert knowledge in all areas of delivery of care. I regularly engage with doctor of physical therapy students to enhance their education and have trained many physical therapists who have joined to provide services with Carrboro Pediatric Physical Therapy, LLC. One of the unique aspects of working with me if your child needs physical therapy is that I bring all this knowledge with me and take your unique individual needs into consideration. During the COVID19 pandemic, we rapidly transitioned to telehealth successfully navigating the new world by diving into providing virtual services, and continue to utilize this delivery model for some clients.

It is my philosophy that a child who requires physical therapy can both have fun and make gross motor gains simultaneously. I am as good at playing peek a boo, as I am at helping parents understand underlying musculoskeletal or neurologic impairments their child might be experiencing. Sessions are always family-focused, making therapy a pleasant and enjoyable experience. Therapy sessions can include the whole family to emulate daily life, and caregivers and siblings are encouraged to participate.
Team: Currently, Carrboro Pediatric Physical Therapy, LLC is a one woman show! But we are adding therapists so we can offer more support in our community.
